The football scarves are finished for this year and they look really good. Moira is a bit down because the Newcastle scarf is a bit too white and the team are being relegated. The pattern for crocheted or knitted scarves or cowls is free in the shop for the first 50 people and then on the ravelry page as 'football score scarf'; it is a great way to record a successful year, or to plan for a better one next year. I knitted a cowl and was surprised how it got me really following Liverpool FC's fortunes. I've gone form a casual supporter to being quite knowledgeable about opponents and scores.
Knit this wrap over for a baby in Cashmere for £20.00 (free pattern with yarn).
The pattern is being worked up to bigger sizes and other yarns – more details later.

Professional finishing for garter stitch 10am to 12 £15
Saturday 2nd July 10 til noon, £15
That skein or two of 1 ply or 2 ply or 3 ply that you optimistically bought to make a shawl; join them with another yarn and create your own pattern sequence. You can even use up lots of short pieces of the same weight yarn. Ends for socks yarn are a great source of a memory scarf or cushion. It is so easy, quick and yet so cleverly different.
Tuesday 5th July and/or Tuesday 2nd August from 10 until 4, costing £45.
Double sided knitting is a great way to design your own pattern. I've used it to make a Welsh tapestry and one of my customers is making a cable sweater which is going to be fabulous. The last class made coasters for special people with their own logos. Once you have learnt the basics you are away. Learning the technique and how to design to your gauge takes a day and the class includes materials and lunch.
I have enjoyed knitting a wrap over cardigan for a baby using Rowan yarns finest yarn made of cashmere and alpaca. It is a wonderfully soft yarn perfect for scarves and baby garments. Garter stitch offers an easy knit, but can be difficult to assemble. It is a free pattern with yarn, but you might also want to learn how to finish this garment with a flawless join, buttonholes and pick up stitches with ease. Classes can be arranged during July. Do contact the shop on 01745 823835 Weds to Sat.
Make your own buttons using threads and materials from your project using different techniques from the traditional Dorset button to modern decorated buttons and beautifully crafted buttons for baby garments which use no plastic or wire. It takes a day to learn all the methods, but you will go away with the makings of a display or the start of a button set. Starting at 10 until 4, costing £45 to include all materials and lunch.
If you want something super quick, then there is nothing quicker than an arm knitted scarf or infinity cowl using 1 ball of yarn.
Free arm knitting class anytime with each £7.50 ball of yarn.
Join these classes in the shop or by phone 01745 823835 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
p. s. In the window is my growing stash of stuffed hexagons made from 4 ply yarns. I am aiming to make a baby quilt and I have to say that they are addictive. I think I can make a quilt with 3 balls of yarn.
Anytime for learning how to make scarves by arm knitting free with yarn (£7.50)
